			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We had a very good Scholastic Book Fair. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped out during the fair. We now have new books for the library. The library is ready for you to check materials out, and the databases are available for research.</p>
<p>We are also changing the look of the library. Students and faculty members have made suggestions for a library makeover. You will start to see these changes over the next several weeks. The courtyard door will be open, and students are invited to take advantage of good weather by reading in the courtyard.</p>

The novels on this list have been selected for their literary merit and the appropriate alignment with course objectives and thematic strands. Because of their postmodern nature, some of the books may include—within their historical and/or cultural context—language, events or descriptions that contain profanity, violence, sexual content or material that is intended for the mature reader.</p>
